Africa-Press – Sierra-Leone. <\/strong><\/span>Johansen Football Club have just won one of the biggest pre-season tournaments (Manager Salim And Gento Preseason Gala) at the Attouga Mini Stadium in Freetown on Friday, after defeating Freetown City FC (FCFC) 7-6 in the final on post match penalties.<\/a><\/p>\n

This highly contested tourney featured eight (8) top-flight clubs (of the Sierra Leone Premier League), including East End Tigers FC, Freetown City FC, East End Lions FC, Real Republicans FC, FC Johansen, Freetownians SLIFA FC, Luawa FC and Central Parade FC.<\/p>\n

FC Johansen, who are now preparing for the forthcoming season, following reforms in the squad, used this just concluded tournament to test the depth of their squad, by giving more opportunities to the newly included young talents.Johansen went unbeaten with a 100% winning record. They defeated Real Republicans FC by 3-1 in their opening match and eliminated Freetownians SLIFA in the semifinals. Johansen faced FCFC in the finals, and played to a 0-0 draw in 90 minutes before heading to a dramatic post match shootout, which FC Johansen won by 7-6.<\/p>\n
