Africa-Press – Sierra-Leone. <\/strong><\/span>The President of the Federation of International Football Association (FIFA), Gianni Infantino has promised the President of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) Thomas Daddy Brima that the association will invest more in African football this year.<\/p>\n

<\/a>The FIFA president made the promise while speaking at a two-day workshop in Paris, France.<\/p>\n

Infantino spoke on the importance of talented African players to ply their trade in the continent in order to develop domestic leagues.The FIFA Chief of Global Football, Arsene Wenger also said more attention needs to be given to African football.<\/p>\n

He stressed that it was about time the association change the dynamics of the region\u2019s football. He affirmed that the addition of more African teams in the World Cup would mean that there will be \u2018knock-on\u2019 effects in encouraging investment in the region.<\/p>\n

He added that more opportunities given to African countries to host junior world cups in the coming years. Football is believed to be the most loved sport in the continent with millions depending on it for survival.However, the sport is largely underdeveloped in many parts of the continents discouraging talents to seek other trade.<\/p>\n
