Africa-Press – Sierra-Leone. <\/strong><\/span>The Mayor of Kenema City, Thomas Taagbateh Devuyama Karimu Bandabla Baio has begun his Thank You Tour in Kenema City on Wednesday 15th February The thank you tour is a way to show gratitude to institutions that have been very supportive towards the council\u2019s operations over the years.<\/p>\n

His first stop was made at the east Regional Headquarters of the police on Hangha road in Kenema.According to the him security issues are very paramount, and that is why he targeted the Sierra Leone Police as his first point of call in his thank you tour.Speaking to the Sierra Leone Police at their office, Mayor Baio stated his reason for the visiting and during the course praised and acknowledged the police efforts to maintain law and order over years in the city.<\/p>\n

He stated that under his watch as Mayor of Kenema city, the police in Kenema have been very robust in combating crimes which indicates complete loyalty and patriotism for sierra Leone.<\/p>\n

He underscored that no political party can succeed in any country without the willingness of the security apparatus in serving their people with diligence and therefore, commended the sierra Leone police for been steadfast in their work.Mayor Baio encouraged the police to continue the good job they\u2019ve been doing in the best interest of Kenema and the country as a whole.<\/p>\n

Speaking on the ongoing projects at the regional police headquarters, he made mention of the perimeter fencing project which he assured of its completion hence, with the cutting of the cotton tree in front of the regional CID.<\/p>\n

He called on the people to whoheartedly support and vote in the New Direction Administration for second term in office with special premium on President Bio, himself and the MP\u2019s for the continuation of quality leadership to the people of Sierra Leone.<\/p>\n

In the part of the police, the regional Police commissioner East, Mr. Andrew Mustapha Kamara, showered praises on the Mayor and expressed gratitude for all he has done for them during his reign, noting that he has shown great leadership qualities which they pray continues.<\/p>\n

He promised the Mayor that they will continue to work relentlessly in ensuring stability in the city and will continue to show gratitude to him even after his reign as Mayor of Kenema city.He concluded by calling on other stakeholders to emulate politicians like Mayor Baio for the good of the country.<\/p>\n
