Africa-Press – Sierra-Leone. <\/strong><\/span>Reports from Makeni have indicated that the elected flagbearer of the main opposition party, All People\u2019s Congress (APC), Samura Kamara will announce his running mate today, 21 February 2021.<\/p>\n

<\/a>Kamara yesterday, Monday 20 February 2023 emerged as the winner to represent the APC party at the June 2023 poll, after gaining over 1300 votes casted by delegates at the party National Delegates Conference (NDC).<\/p>\n

Sierraloaded understands that All People\u2019s Congress (APC) and Dr. Mathew Wilson Samura Kamara have begun consultations to pick a running mate ahead of the polls.The party leaders are said to be discussing the criteria for selecting a suitable person, including experience, educational credentials, and geopolitical balance. It was gathered that they are also considering the possibility of fielding a running mate who has a deep knowledge of the country and economy.<\/p>\n

It was learned that the party has shortlisted three candidates including, Sheik Alhaji Mohamed Kamara alias Jagaban, Hon. Chernor Maju Bah and Mayor Yvonne Aki-Sawyerr.<\/p>\n
