Africa-Press – Sierra-Leone. <\/strong><\/span>National Youth Leader of National Grand Coalition (NGC), -Ahmed Pompey Jah has thanked President Bio for his leadership and urged his compatriots to support the alliance agreement between the SLPP and NGC. Below is what he said:<\/p>\n \u201cI would like to thank specifically His Excellency President Julius Maada Bio and Honorable Dr. Kandeh Yumkella who together has set the stage to dislodge the ethno-regionalistic political division in our country. A son of a Chieftaincy family from Samu Chiefdom Kambia District in Northern Sierra Leone and that of another Chieftaincy family in Tihun Sogbindi Chiefdom in Bonthe District, Southern Sierra Leone.<\/p>\n \u201cWhat both men did yesterday at the Bintumani is the dream of every progressive Sierra Leonean. At last the curtains have been drawn down on hate, malice, and unhealthy political banter. I hope members of other political parties will find reasons to join the Alliance for the betterment of mama Salone.<\/p>\n \u201cAs the leader of the NGC Youth Wing, my executive and the entire young generation of our party wholeheartedly endorsed the Alliance and have made a commitment to work within the framework of the Alliance document.<\/p>\n \u201cI therefore ask my brothers and sisters on the SLPP side to be ready to work with us together to ensure this dream becomes a reality. This alliance is about our future, the future of every youth and kid of Sierra Leone. Let us breed a culture of healthy political contests; let us disagree to agree that Sierra Leone is our collective responsibility and we must work together for the general good.<\/p>\n \u201cPersonally, I want to thank my elder Sister Her Excellency the First Lady Madam Fatima Jabbe-Bio. She has been very instrumental standing by her man to ensure that this dream comes to life.<\/p>\n \u201cWhen our mother the late Mrs Philo Yumkella was alive they used to engage a lot and do their traditional African women gossip on how to get their husbands to work together.<\/p>\n \u201cMay God bless them both and I know where Mommy Philo will be right now; she will be so happy.
