Africa-Press – Sierra-Leone. <\/strong><\/span>Mohamed Gento Kamara, the candidate representing the Sierra Leone People\u2019s Party (SLPP) for the Mayoral seat of the Freetown City Council, has made a significant promise in his manifesto.<\/p>\n

<\/a>During a media presentation held on Saturday, June 3rd, 2023, at the Hub Hotel, he assured the people of Sierra Leone that if elected as Mayor, he would facilitate an international contract that would benefit the Sierra Leone Government with a substantial sum of five hundred million United States Dollars (USD 500 million).<\/p>\n

Additionally, he pledged to create 15,000 job opportunities for Sierra Leoneans residing outside of Freetown.<\/p>\n

Gento\u2019s manifesto encompasses various key points, including ensuring access to clean water for all residents in the municipality of Freetown, striving for a clean city, providing employment opportunities for everyone, promoting the utilization of public spaces and services, offering microcredit for business ventures, and facilitating access to finance.<\/p>\n

He strongly believes that employment plays a crucial role in effective leadership.<\/p>\n

Under the theme \u201cFreetown for we all,\u201d Gento emphasizes his commitment to transform the city into a place that benefits all its inhabitants.<\/p>\n

His primary focus will be on delivering clean water, sanitation services, job creation, and establishing public spaces such as dignified health centers, marketplaces, and recreational facilities accessible to everyone.<\/p>\n

He aims to enhance the accessibility of public services in a manner that acknowledges the intrinsic value of all citizens, ensuring that those who have historically been marginalized and overlooked by society are intentionally included.<\/p>\n

By addressing the existing challenges, establishing order, and generating employment opportunities throughout the city, Gento aims to empower every individual to rise and live with dignity, regardless of their location, occupation, or social standing.<\/p>\n

He recognizes the diverse range of individuals contributing to the city\u2019s fabric, including Kekeh riders, market sellers, footballers, fishermen, tailors, artists, and business executives.<\/p>\n

With a focus on developing critical infrastructure and socio-economic frameworks, Gento envisions a Freetown where all citizens can pursue their dreams, enjoying the city\u2019s vibrant culture and beauty.<\/p>\n

He strongly believes in an inclusive, accessible, and accountable local government that is responsive to the needs of all individuals, irrespective of their heritage or social status.<\/p>\n
