Africa-Press – Sierra-Leone. <\/strong><\/span>Kandeh Kolleh Yumkella has lost his seat in Parliament following announcements of 24 June Parliamentary election results by the Electoral Commission for Sierra Leone (ECSL).<\/a><\/p>\n

Yumkella stood under the ticket of the National Grand Coalition (NGC) party and was representing Samu Chiefdom and its environs in Kambia District, Northwest region of Sierra Leone.<\/p>\n

NGC got less than 8 percent of total votes casted failing to repeat 2018 feat when they took large chunk of votes in the District.The main opposition All People\u2019s Congress (APC) won majority of votes in Kambia thereby securing 4 seats with 57,970 total votes.<\/p>\n

The Sierra Leone People\u2019s Party (SLPP) got 35,164 votes (34.19 percent) securing 2 seats.<\/p>\n
