Africa-Press – Sierra-Leone. <\/strong><\/span>There are Phases in power politics and perhaps the most difficult one is power-sharing. If not anyone but the corridors of the presidency can attest to this factual claim \u2013 _power sharing nor funny_<\/p>\n

Since the announcement of the presidential election result on June 27 by ECSL, the corridors of the presidency have had no dull moment.<\/p>\n

<\/a>In the past five years, HE the President Rtd. Brig. Dr. Julius Maada Bio has worked with people with different delivery outcomes. To put it simpler, President Bio had worked with a mixed bag of people for the past five years. Packing and unpacking this mixed bag after his re-election victory has become a puzzle and a nightmare in the corridors of the presidency. Who to let go and who to retain \u2013 when, where, and how have compounded the power-sharing puzzle.<\/p>\n

Miracle Media Network as a chronicler of events over the past five years would like to suggest the following;<\/p>\n

I. President Bio should look at the coming cabinet as a critical component of his legacy project.<\/p>\n

II. President Bio should look at the coming cabinet as a transitioning and succession plan to power consolidation for the next generation of political actors in the SLPP<\/p>\n

III. President Bio should learn from the cyclical nature of the political history of Sierra Leone in the Second Republic. (From Ahmed Tejan Kabba and Solomon Berewa Vs Charles Margai in 2007 and Ernest Bai Koroma and Samura Kamara Vs the APC and the rest of mankind in 2018 and 2023).<\/p>\n

<\/a>IV. Unlike the 2018 cabinet dubbed in several quarters as the \u201ccompensation cabinet\u201d, this coming cabinet should be political in nature and merit-based with fine and result-oriented Sierra Leoneans.<\/p>\n

V. This coming cabinet should be studded with progressives, young and energetic Sierra Leoneans who in certain cases might have been critical to President Bio\u2019s administration in the past five years.<\/p>\n

VI. Besides cabinet appointments, all other appointments in State governance should be sifted to make governance seamless and workable. For lack of a better phrase, a governance architecture that is not an ego bubble\u201d.<\/p>\n

VII. President Bio should have a relook at the diaspora influence as well as how diaspora appointments in offices of State governance have affected or effected his administration in the past five years.<\/p>\n

<\/a>Footnote: if you have not managed or supervised more than four people, for example, if you were a door security or a caregiver, it is very difficult or impossible to manage a state institution of more than 100 \u2013 200 people- simplicita.<\/p>\n

Closing the power-sharing chapter and surmounting the nightmare that is attended with it is an undeniable test of President Bio\u2019s administration in the coming five years.<\/p>\n

History has taught political leaders well and Miracle the Seer is certain that President Bio will read carefully from the pages of history from 1996 to date. To help turn the pages of history for President Bio, a seven points checklist has been cited in this article to support His Excellency\u2019s continuity project.<\/p>\n
