Africa-Press – Sierra-Leone. <\/strong><\/span>The President for the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) Thomas Daddy Brima has dismissed rumour making rounds of no premier league relegation this season.<\/p>\n

<\/a>The stage was well prepared for the SLFA ordinary congress on Wednesday 5th July 2023 at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Freetown which hosted many football stakeholders in the country.<\/p>\n

The ordinary congress is schedule for 4th-6th July, 2023. The focus is to deliberate on issues pertinent to the development of football in Sierra Leone and is built on the theme \u2018let\u2019s raise the game\u2019<\/p>\n

He clearly stated that, he cannot destroy all the gains he has made in the football arena of Sierra Leone for many years for a selfish interest adding that, even if his team relegates it has to go through the due process.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere is this rumour that there will be no relegation, I cannot undo my gains made over the years for selfishness. If my team relegate, let them relegate!\u201d he noted.<\/p>\n

Brima also stated that, the number of teams that will participate in the Sierra Leone Premier League will be 12 in 2026.<\/p>\n
