Africa-Press – Sierra-Leone. <\/strong><\/span>In a heartfelt message to the nation on Twitter, Samura Kamara, the presidential candidate of the All People\u2019s Congress (APC) party, has expressed his profound disappointment, anger, and grief over the alleged electoral fraud that occurred during the recently concluded general elections in Sierra Leone.<\/p>\n

<\/a>Kamara, who lost to the incumbent President Julius Maada Bio of the Sierra Leone People\u2019s Party (SLPP), refused to accept the election results, citing irregularities in the counting and tabulation process.<\/p>\n

Addressing the citizens of Sierra Leone, Kamara acknowledged the prevailing sentiment of hopelessness among the electorate, many of whom believe their votes were not properly counted and that the electoral commission failed to account for their ballots. This failure has cast doubt on the efficacy of the electoral system and, by extension, the principles of democracy in the country.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy Fellow Sierra Leoneans: As you all are aware, we are currently in an extremely challenging post election environment, marred with expressions of disappointment, anger, grief, and seeming hopelessness. Knowing that your votes were not counted and the fact that your electoral commission could not account for your ballots, many of you are questioning the efficacy of elections and by extension, democracy,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n

Expressing his frustration, Kamara criticized not only the electoral commission but also individuals he believed were complicit in the fraud.<\/p>\n

He specifically referred to certain religious leaders who have been advocating for peace in the midst of the post-election turmoil, insinuating that they may be aware of the truth but are reluctant to speak out.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn the face of such deliberate institutional failure and daylight fraud, others, including some \u201cMen of God\u201d, are busy running around, desperately preaching Peace. I am compelled to state that many of these \u201cMen and Women\u201d know the Truth; it is just that they are not bold enough to speak the truth where they should,\u201d Kamara stated.<\/p>\n

The politician then called for a resurrection of the Fear of God in their hearts and urged them to join the fight for justice and truth.<\/p>\n

Despite the prevailing challenges and allegations of fraud, Kamara implored his fellow Sierra Leoneans to hold on to expectations of peace, justice, and truth. He emphasized the need for the nation to unite in demanding accountability and transparency in the electoral process, so that the voice of every citizen can be heard and respected.<\/p>\n

\u201cMeanwhile, let us, as good citizens continue to hold on to expectations of Peace, Justice and Truth, sooner rather than later,\u201d he concluded.<\/p>\n
