Africa-Press – Sierra-Leone. <\/strong><\/span>Political analyst, Alpha Bah, in a tweet claimed that the minister is guilty of a \u201cweak cover-up\u201d. \u201cThe leaked memo, which bears the date 18\/8\/23, can be identified as the genuine document, whereas the minister\u2019s manipulated version is fraudulently dated 23\/8\/23,\u201d Alpha Bah said.<\/p>\n

He also branded the Information Minister to be deceptive with an intention to \u201cmislead the public\u201d. The Information Minister, however, discarded the allegation affirming his commitment to serve the nation with good intent.<\/p>\n

He cautioned the political analyst not to brand him as deceptive. \u201cBra let\u2019s disagree but let\u2019s don\u2019t accuse each other without proof of being criminals.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ll never fake a document.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ll never ever do that.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have a reputation of over 25 years of working to do good in my country and the world,\u201d the Information Minister said. Social media was flooded over the weekend with a leaked memo which indicated that President Julius Maada Bio has been invited by the ICC.<\/p>\n

Official sources, initially, did not confirm the invite -leaving room for speculation that the August 18 memo was doctored by Bio\u2019s opponents. But the country\u2019s Strategic Communications Unit on Thursday August 24 clarified in a tweet that the ICC did invite the Bio for a meeting.<\/p>\n

The tweet was posted with a memo dissimilar with that of the August 18 memo. The difference left speculation among some locals especially Mr. Bio\u2019s opponents that the latter was doctored.<\/p>\n
