Africa-Press – Sierra-Leone. <\/strong><\/span>A residence in the Banco Lane area of Masuba, Makeni, has been ravaged by a massive fire caused by a surge in EDSA current voltage. The blaze erupted on the 17th October, 2023, leaving the affected property in ruins and, unfortunately, the local fire service failed to respond promptly.<\/p>\n

<\/a>The fire, which witnesses say began with a series of electrical explosions, quickly engulfed the home, sending thick plumes of smoke into the sky. The intense heat and flames forced nearby residents to evacuate and seek refuge while helplessly watching the inferno spread.<\/p>\n

Frustratingly, despite desperate calls for assistance, the National fire Force service\u2019s response time fell short of expectations. It took longer than expected for the fire Force to arrive at the scene, leaving residents and onlookers feeling vulnerable and anxious.As the fire raged on, efforts to douse the flames continued, with neighboring communities pitching in to support the overwhelmed fire brigade. While the blaze has now been contained, the property has suffered extensive damage, and the full extent of the losses is yet to be determined.<\/p>\n

Local authorities are launching an investigation into the incident to determine the cause of the voltage surge and the delayed response by the fire service. Residents are left grappling with the aftermath and concerns regarding the reliability of their power supply and emergency services in the area.<\/p>\n
