Africa-Press – Sierra-Leone. <\/strong><\/span>Sierra Leone has allocated funding specifically for tackling malnutrition, making it one of eight countries in Africa to do so. <\/a>The Vice President, Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh, the Ministry of Health and Sanitation (MoHS), and the United Nations Children Fund in Sierra Leone have secured 3,400 cartons of ready-to-use therapeutic food for under-five babies.<\/p>\n

The Minister of Health and Sanitation, Austin Demby, has made the health issue in the country a topmost priority. The Ready-To-Use therapeutic food (RUTF) will be used to treat malnourished children in Sierra Leone. It was funded by the government of Sierra Leone through the nutrition match window, a global initiative funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Children\u2019s Investment Fund Foundation, and FCDO.<\/p>\n
