In a solemn ceremony at the Cenotaph, he laid a wreath to honor the ex-servicemen and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.<\/p>\n

<\/a>Among the distinguished attendees was World War II veteran Private Pessima Lamboi, an awe-inspiring 102-year-old. The Vice President expressed deep honor and respect as he personally shook hands with Lamboi, acknowledging the veteran\u2019s indomitable spirit and service to the nation.<\/p>\n

In a statement, Vice President Jalloh remarked, \u201cThis morning\u2019s ceremony was a solemn occasion to remember and honor our heroes who fought valiantly for our freedom. Private Pessima Lamboi\u2019s presence, at the remarkable age of 102, serves as a living testament to the resilience and sacrifice of our veterans. I am truly honored to have shaken his hands and express our nation\u2019s gratitude for his service. Bravo to all our ex-servicemen and women.\u201dThe ceremony at the Cenotaph brought together dignitaries, military officials, and citizens alike to collectively pay homage to those who contributed to the defense of Sierra Leone.
