Africa-Press – Sierra-Leone. <\/strong><\/span>Following an instruction by the city council, the municipality of Port Loko has embarked on cleaning exercise on Saturday 25 November this year between the hours of 6 to 10am.<\/p>\n

<\/a>Giving the background of the initiative, he said: \u201cthis initiative was brought by the mayor and agreed upon by both administrative and political wings of the council as a flagship program to make Port Loko the cleanest city in the country.\u201d<\/p>\n

He went on to state that the exercise is very important for the social, mental and spiritual well-being of the society. He thanked and called on Port Loko people and development partners within and out of the city to support the process by fighting the challenges faced inorder for such initiative to be continued.<\/p>\n

Alie sesay one of the youths who took part in the cleaning, acknowledged it\u2019s significance and applauded the council. He called on fellow youths to embrace this good work in the city.<\/p>\n
