Africa-Press – Sierra-Leone. <\/strong><\/span>Sierra Leone stunned South Africa to reach the Sydney-Africa Cup of Nations semi final with a 3-2 victory on Saturday thanks to goals from Brima Kamara aka Bojoman, Jushua Aruna and Musa Mansaray to seal the all important win for Sierra Leone at the Wanderers Football Park, Blacktown.<\/p>\n

<\/a>Brima Kamara opened the scoring with a fine finish to register his fourth goal in the campaign but the fans were breathless with Bafana Bafana leveling a few minutes later. Joshua Aruna put Sierra Leone ahead to register his first goal of the campaign but his celebration was cut short following South Africa\u2019s response to level the score.<\/p>\n

In extra time, Musa Mansaray aka \u2018Ajay Gas\u2019 silenced the noisy South Africa fans with an audacious late bicycle kick effort to earn his side a 3-2 victory. Sierra Leone will face Central Africa Republic in next week\u2019s semi final.Speaking after Sierra Leone victory head coach Yusuf Kamara heaps praise on his side for a fantastic job. He said his boys should brace for next week\u2019s semi final encounter against Central Africa Republic when dressing the team.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are in the semi-final, so If the quarter-finals had eight fantastic teams, imagine the four that have secured the spots already, so anything can happen;\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cA big opponent is waiting for us in the semi-final but it doesn\u2019t matter their strength. They know we are a team with a special spirit even if we are not at the maximum of our potential.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cNobody expected us to reach this far but you guys have to brace up for the challenges ahead. We go back to trainings and see how you can build on your mental strength\u201d. \u201cI have to be honest, I am expecting a very tough match against our next opponent because their records said it all;\u201d he fumed<\/p>\n

He continued: \u201cThey are one of the three teams, including us and South Sudan, who haven\u2019t lost any game yet but am sure with the experience we have in this team will get the job done and take us to another final after 5 years\u201d.<\/p>\n

He however thanked the fans for their support since the tournament started \u201cThe fans are amazing and I would like to thank them especially those who came out in this bad weather to support the team. He however called on the community to come out in large numbers to support the boys in the semi final on Saturday coming.<\/p>\n
