Africa-Press – Sierra-Leone. <\/strong><\/span>The Chinese Embassy in Sierra Leone has held an awarding ceremony of the 2023 Chinese Ambassador Scholarship on 5th December, 2023. Ambassador Wang Qing, Minister of Technology and Higher Education Dr. Haja Ramatulai Wurie, Students, Parents, well-wishers and members of the Press were among those who graced the auspicious occasion.<\/p>\n

Ambassador Wang expressed his heartfelt congratulatory message to the beneficiaries adding that the Cooperation between the two countries in the field of education has been fruitful over the past 52 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. He pointed out the Cooperation has strongly promoted China-Sierra Friendship as well as mutual understanding between the countries. He emphasized China\u2019a Commitment to support the government of Sierra development Agenda, helping to nurture the more talents to realize the major goals of the \u201cBIG FIVE GAME CHANGERS\u201d in President Bio\u2019s second term of Office.<\/p>\n

Minister Dr. Haja Wurie highly appreciated China\u2019s long-term support and assistance to the development of education and human resources in Sierra Leone, and expressed her willingness to promote more practical cooperation with China to cement the traditional friendship between the two countries.<\/p>\n

The award-winning students expressed their gratitude to the Chinese Embassy and promised to study hard and strive to be messengers of Sino-Sierra Leone friendly cooperation and cultural exchanges.<\/p>\n
