Africa-Press – Sierra-Leone. <\/strong><\/span>The Minister of Tourism and Cultural Affairs, Md. Nabeela Farida Tunis has emphasized her Ministry\u2019s preparedness to boost the tourism sector in the country.<\/b><\/p>\n

She maintained that, her ministry is trying to do everything to have the sector very attractive to tourist all over the world, which may in turn be of a good investment for the country, adding that, meeting with investors recently in Freetown has shown the readiness these investors to invest into the tourism sector.<\/p>\n

She added that, their plans are to create jobs for Sierra Leoneans as part of President Bio\u2019s plans of creating 500,000 jobs, adding that, they have the potential to support the government in getting jobs for Sierra Leoneans and that they are well prepared to work with diverse investors to boost the sector.<\/p>\n

Speaking on the expectations, she maintained that, they are expecting to see more partnerships that would be vital in the promotion of the goals of the ministry.<\/p>\n

\u201c The ministry of tourism and cultural affairs in currently implementing a tourism for all campaign, and it\u2019s a yearlong campaign whereby we\u2019re seeking to wrap up the awareness about tourism, the potential tourism has to contribute to the national development of the country\u201d she stated, adding that they are working with diverse partners including the private sector to make sure that the rollout is successful.<\/p>\n

She called on Sierra Leoneans to be part of the awareness raising and get the sector moving in the right direction.<\/p>\n
