Africa-Press – Sierra-Leone. <\/strong><\/span>The Minister of Information and Civic Education, Chernor Bah has confirmed that former President Ernest Bai Koroma was granted bail by the High Court of Sierra Leone on Wednesday 17th January 2024.<\/b><\/p>\n

The minister made this disclosure in an interview with international TV Aljazeera Sierra Leone correspondent.<\/p>\n

The minister started by stating that the government has been consistent out the investigations and is committed to stick with the rule of law.<\/p>\n

He disclosed that the lawyers of former President Koroma made an application before the court which was argued against by lawyers of the state and the court made it ruling adding that they are happy about the ruling of the court because they believe in the rule of law and it\u2019s the principle guiding the case throughout.<\/p>\n

Bah confirmed that former president Koroma leave is based on medical attention which he will be seeking in Nigeria as he makes clarifications on him going into exile, adding that the Magistrate Court has adjoined the matter to sometime in March because Koroma was given a ninety days leave.<\/p>\n

He stated that Koroma was given a condition to be reporting on his health situation from Nigeria.<\/p>\n
