Africa-Press – Sierra-Leone. <\/strong><\/span>As the School approaches its 175th Anniversary celebration, the general membership of the Annie Walsh Old Girls Association has released the prescribed dress code for all old girls.<\/b><\/p>\n

Centered around modesty and class, the dress code is worn to mark the Thanksgiving celebration of the school.<\/p>\n

As prescribed every year, all old girls are expected to wear a knee-length white dress with a hat and black shoes.<\/p>\n

According to the Awoga\u2019s notice, the headgear should be full white hat or boater and members are forbidden from fixing long and colored unatural hair.<\/p>\n

The dress should be at knee length and must be pure white not off-white.<\/p>\n

The Annie Walsh Memorial School is the oldest Secondary School for girls in the Sub-Saharan Africa. Based in Freetown, Sierra Leone, it is considered as one of the best in the country. It was established in 1849 originally in Charlotte, a newly established village for recaptives. Over the years, the school has consistently outperformed its peers in terms of academic achievement.<\/p>\n
