The conference will focus on the critical issue of \u201caccess to safe and affordable surgical and anesthesia care in West Africa.\u201d<\/p>\n

This significant event is expected to draw over 500 surgeons from across the region. These specialists will not only participate in the conference but also contribute by offering complimentary surgical procedures and valuable training opportunities to local healthcare professionals.<\/p>\n

The conference theme will be further explored through various sub-themes, including:<\/p>\n

The NSOAP of nations of West Africa:<\/b> This will likely address the National Standards, Objectives, and Assessments Plans specific to surgical care within the West African nations.<\/p>\n

Addressing brain drain in the delivery of surgical services in West Africa:<\/b> This sub-theme will likely focus on strategies to combat the loss of skilled healthcare professionals from the region.<\/p>\n

Developing surgical leaders of tomorrow for West Africa:<\/b> This highlights the conference\u2019s commitment to fostering future generations of surgical expertise in the region.<\/p>\n

The opening ceremony and the first two days of the conference will be held at the Freetown International Conference Center on March 3rd and 4th, 2024.<\/p>\n
