Africa-Press – Sierra-Leone. <\/strong><\/span>Peter Bockarie, the accused, stood before Magistrate Santigie Bangura of Court No.2 Pademba Road, Freetown, facing charges of fraudulently converting Keke parts entrusted to him.<\/b><\/p>\n

Bockarie is charged under Section 20(1)(iv)(a) of the Larceny Act 1916 for fraudulent conversion. The alleged incident occurred on November 22, 2023, at Juba, Lumley, Freetown.<\/p>\n

According to the charge sheet, Bockarie is accused of converting 4 Keke Tyres and reams, valued at four thousand one hundred and eighty Leones, 1 Keke starter valued at two hundred and fifty Leones, and 1 Keke battery valued at one thousand eighty Leones.<\/p>\n

The total value of the converted items amounts to five thousand eight hundred and ten Leones. These items were entrusted to him by Mohamed Barrie for safekeeping, and they are the property of Abdul Rahim.<\/p>\n

During the court proceedings, no bail was granted, and Bockarie has been remanded in custody until March 14, 2024. Sergeant 3379, Ballay T., is prosecuting the case.<\/p>\n
