Africa-Press – Sierra-Leone. <\/strong><\/span>Sierra Leone and Egypt have signed a landmark agreement to bolster Sierra Leone\u2019s public service sector. <\/b><\/p>\n

The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed in Cairo by Amara Kallon, Sierra Leone\u2019s Minister of Public Administration and Political Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Saleh El Sheikh, head of Egypt\u2019s Central Agency for Organization and Administration (CAOA). Witnessing the signing was Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly.<\/p>\n

This MOU marks a significant step forward in strengthening bilateral ties between the two African nations. Under the agreement, Egypt will offer crucial support to Sierra Leone\u2019s efforts to modernize and enhance the performance of its public service sector.<\/p>\n

Prime Minister Madbouly emphasized Egypt\u2019s commitment to fostering closer collaboration with Sierra Leone across various domains. He pledged Egypt\u2019s full support to Sierra Leone\u2019s Ministry of Public Administration and Political Affairs in its reform endeavors.<\/p>\n

Minister Kallon reciprocated, highlighting Sierra Leone\u2019s unwavering dedication to improving workforce efficiency. He expressed his belief that the MOU will be instrumental in achieving this goal.<\/p>\n

The agreement underscores a shared vision for bolstering bilateral relations. A key aspect of the MOU involves leveraging Egypt\u2019s expertise in restructuring government institutions for the benefit of Sierra Leone.<\/p>\n

Egypt will also provide technical assistance to Sierra Leone in developing new legislation for its public service sector. The collaboration extends to the creation of a training plan for employees across various ministries, departments, and agencies (MDAs) in Sierra Leone. Additionally, the MOU paves the way for knowledge exchange in the field of technology.<\/p>\n

Minister Kallon expressed his gratitude for the warm hospitality extended by Egypt. He emphasized the depth of the existing ties between the two countries, highlighting how the agreement strengthens their shared commitment to promoting African heritage.<\/p>\n
