Africa-Press – Sierra-Leone. <\/strong><\/span>The Government of Sierra Leone has taken a significant step towards strengthening the country\u2019s firefighting capabilities. On Friday, May 31st, 2024, a ceremony was held to officially commission five brand new, multi-purpose fire engines.<\/p>\n

The ceremony, led by the Resident Minister Western Area and Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, marked a major boost for the National Fire Force.<\/p>\n

This investment in firefighting equipment coincides with the graduation of 85 new firefighters who completed their training at the National Fire Force training School in Sima Town Rokel.<\/p>\n

The addition of these new fire engines and firefighters will significantly enhance the National Fire Force\u2019s ability to respond to emergencies across Sierra Leone.<\/p>\n

This improved response capacity will undoubtedly benefit communities throughout the country.<\/p>\n
