Africa-Press – Sierra-Leone. <\/strong><\/span>The Inspector General of Police, Dr. Ambrose Michael Sovula has this morning visited various police entrance examination centers in Freetown.
\nAccording to the IGP, the move is to make the process accountable and transparent to the public.
\nHe also demonstrated the effort of the IGP Sovula in bringing police service to the doorsteps of citizens.It is reported that over 1400 shortlisted applicants are taking the police entrance examination in various centers across the country.<\/p>\n

The centres are:
\n1. Freetown West: Lumley Police Station & Kingtom Police Field.
\n2. Freetown East: Ross Road Police Station & Police Training School (PTS), Hastings.
\n3. North-East: Makeni
\n4. North-West: Port Loko
\n5. Eastern Region: Kenema
\n6. Southern Region: Bo
\nJoining the Sierra Leone police Department is one of the easiest routes to finding a secured job in the country, with a considerably good salary.<\/p>\n

Interviews will be conducted for applicants that passed the police entrance examination, followed by 10 to 12 weeks police training.<\/p>\n
