Africa-Press – Sierra-Leone. <\/strong><\/span>On October 21, 2024, the Community Relations Department (CRD) of the Kissy Division held an impactful outreach program at Methodist Boys\u2019 High School (MBHS), Thunder Hill, East of Freetown.<\/p>\n

The event engaged over 1,000 pupils from both Junior Secondary School (JSS) and Senior Secondary School (SSS), focusing on critical issues such as indiscipline, lawlessness, and sexual and gender-based violence.<\/p>\n

Moderated by Chief Inspector Josephine Kamara, the session featured presentations from police personnel of the Kissy Division, who highlighted the importance of obeying the law and making the most of the government\u2019s Free Quality Education initiative.<\/p>\n

Chief Inspector Kamara reminded the students to \u201cconduct themselves responsibly and within the law,\u201d emphasizing that even school-age children are subject to legal consequences for unlawful actions.<\/p>\n

ASP Allieu Jalloh, Operations Officer of the Kissy Division, underscored the significance of the event, noting the long-standing legacy of academic excellence at Methodist Boys\u2019 High School.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe institution has had a substantial impact on the socio-economic, cultural, and political landscape of Sierra Leone,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n

School principals welcomed the police initiative, describing the visit as \u201ctimely\u201d and pledging to work closely with the Kissy Police to address disciplinary issues within the school.<\/p>\n

They expressed their commitment to eliminating lawlessness and promoting a culture of discipline among the students.<\/p>\n
