Africa-Press – Sierra-Leone. <\/strong><\/span>Vice President Dr. Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh returned to Sierra Leone to a rousing reception from Fullah community leaders and stakeholders after a diplomatic tour of African nations. <\/b><\/p>\n

His return yesterday, comes amid rising tensions following the arrest and alleged mistreatment of hundreds of Fullah nationals by security forces in Freetown on December 15.<\/p>\n

Dr. Jalloh condemned the actions of the Sierra Leone Police and Republic of Sierra Leone Armed Forces, which sparked widespread outrage within the Fullah community. He assured the public of a thorough investigation to ensure justice and prevent future occurrences.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis government is committed to protecting the rights and dignity of all citizens. We will not tolerate acts that undermine our principles of equality and respect for diversity,\u201d Dr. Jalloh said.<\/p>\n

The Vice President announced plans to meet with stakeholders and tribal heads from the Fullah community, reaffirming his administration\u2019s resolve to engage directly with affected citizens.
