Africa-Press – Sierra-Leone. <\/strong><\/span>Detective Sergeant 8576 Issa Kamara has on Monday, 4th April 2022, tendered knives, cutlass, scissors and other items in the ongoing preliminary investigation into the alleged murder of Alpha Bankoh involving one Ibrahim Mohamed Kamara.<\/p>\n

Concord Times reports that the accused made his second appearance before Magistrate Sahr Kekura of the Pademba Road Court No. 1 in Freetown.<\/p>\n

The accused is before the court on one count charge of murder contrary to law.<\/p>\n

According to the charge, the accused on Saturday,21st January, 2022, at Ro-Theren Village, Romendie Chiefdom, Port Loko District, murdered Alpha Bankoh.<\/p>\n

The Exhibit Clerk led in evidence by Sergeant 9939 Lahai, said he is attached to the Exhibit Unit, Criminal Investigations Department (CID) headquarters in Freetown.<\/p>\n

He said his duties includes registering of all exhibits related to matters that are under investigation and for onwards delivery to court when needed .He recalled that on the 29th January, 2022, he was on duty when Detective Inspector Madieu BA attached to the Homicide Syndicate at CID headquarters handed over to him the following exhibits which includes, one old native cutlass, one old stainless scissors with red handle, one old yellow and grey color windbreaker with blood stain, two knives, one old stainless silver color chains, one old sleeveless vest, one old sandals, one old brown color long sleeves with blood stain and one old mix color trousers with blood stain on it.<\/p>\n

The witness continues that he took possession of the said exhibits and registered them in the court exhibit book against serial number 14\/2022.<\/p>\n

The said exhibits were produced and tendered in court to form part of the evidence.<\/p>\n

The accused was not legally represented.<\/p>\n

He told the witness that he had no knowledge about the alleged incident, but the witness replied that he is just an exhibit Clerk.The accused was remanded in custody and the matter was adjourned to the 11th April 2022.<\/p>\n
