Africa-Press – Sierra-Leone. <\/strong><\/span>In a proactive response to growing concerns about the Mpox virus, the Kunike Sanda Chiefdom Youth Council has launched a comprehensive outreach campaign aimed at raising awareness and promoting public health safety across the chiefdom.<\/p>\n

The initiative comes as Mpox\u2014formerly known as monkeypox\u2014continues to pose a significant threat to community health, particularly in areas with limited access to reliable health information.<\/p>\n

Recognizing this risk, the youth council has taken the lead in educating residents about the virus, its symptoms, methods of transmission, and preventive measures.<\/p>\n

As part of the campaign, the youth-led team is conducting educational workshops, distributing flyers and posters in local languages, and hosting interactive community discussions. These efforts are designed not only to inform but also to empower residents, especially young people, to play an active role in preventing the spread of the virus.<\/p>\n
