The initiative aims to support financial inclusion while addressing affordability challenges for essential home and business equipment.<\/p>\n<p>Kate Thompson, Head of Consumer Banking at Ecobank Sierra Leone, said the facility allows customers to access up to 100 percent financing for selected products, with repayment periods of up to 36 months. The programme targets households, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and corporate clients.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBy enabling customers to acquire productive and lifestyle-enhancing assets without large upfront payments, this initiative aligns with Ecobank\u2019s strategy to promote inclusive banking and economic activity,\u201d Thompson said.<\/p>\n<p>Icona London representative Kai Pengusaquee noted that high upfront costs often prevent consumers from purchasing quality appliances. \u201cThis partnership offers installment options that match customers\u2019 income levels, widening access to durable products,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Ecobank Executive Director Winston George Williams described the collaboration as a strategic effort to improve access to essential appliances. \u201cEcobank brings financial capacity, digital platforms, and customer reach, while Icona London provides product expertise and supply,\u201d Williams said, noting the programme could enhance household living conditions and SME productivity.<\/p>\n<p>Icona\u2019s Country Director, Jayesh Pradhi, welcomed the partnership, emphasizing its focus on empowerment and community development.
