Africa-Press – Sierra-Leone. <\/strong><\/span>On 7th February 2026, the Anglican Diocese of Freetown (including the North) and the Government of Sierra Leone (GoSL) formally completed the handover of two residential flat buildings to the Diocese at Kerry Town, fulfilling a long-standing property exchange agreement.<\/p>\n

The arrangement involved the Diocese, the original owner of the land on which Ola During Children\u2019s Hospital sits, transferring the hospital property to the Government in settlement of accrued rent.<\/p>\n

In return, the Diocese received land at Motem (Mount Zion) and residential housing units at Kerry Town.<\/p>\n

The diocesan delegation was led by Rt. Rev. Thomas A. I. Wilson, Bishop of the Anglican Diocese of Freetown, alongside senior officials. Government representatives included Mr. Francis Langumba Keilie, Chief of Staff at the Office of National Security, and Brigadier M. Kamara, Head of Horton Academy.<\/p>\n

The facilities consist of two self-contained flats, each featuring three bedrooms, a kitchen, living area, and bathroom, with electricity and water access already in place, though minor repairs are needed.<\/p>\n

Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to peaceful coexistence, mutual respect, and continued collaboration, agreeing to take immediate steps to secure the residential area and pursue further engagements in support of shared development goals.<\/p>\n
