{"id":56422,"date":"2026-04-10T12:50:08","date_gmt":"2026-04-10T12:50:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/sierra-leone\/all-news\/ncra-nib-partner-to-streamline-business-registration"},"modified":"2026-04-10T13:02:02","modified_gmt":"2026-04-10T13:02:02","slug":"ncra-nib-partner-to-streamline-business-registration","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/sierra-leone\/all-news\/ncra-nib-partner-to-streamline-business-registration","title":{"rendered":"NCRA NIB Partner to Streamline Business Registration"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>Africa-Press &#8211; Sierra-Leone. <\/strong><\/span>The National Civil Registration Authority (NCRA) and the National Investment Board (NIB) have concluded a landmark meeting that signals a bold new direction in Sierra Leone\u2019s effort to streamline business registration and make investment facilitation more reliable, transparent, and accountable.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting, held on Thursday, 9th April 2026, at the Office of the Director General of the NCRA, was in response to a request by the NIB under the Office of the Vice President.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, the core of the meeting was a strategic discussion on how the NCRA\u2019s National Identification Number (NIN) infrastructure can be integrated into the operationalization of the NIB\u2019s One Stop Shop (OSS), a Business Solution Centre established as part of the Government of Sierra Leone\u2019s ongoing reform agenda to enhance the country\u2019s investment and business environment.<\/p>\n<p>Following the deliberations, the Heads of both institutions reached a firm agreement on cooperation. The NCRA Director General, Mr. Mohamed Mubashir MASSAQUOI, acted with immediate effect, assigning a dedicated staff member to the NIB One Stop Shop to ensure that identity verification services are fully embedded within the business registration process from day one.<\/p>\n<p>Also, Dr. Edward Hinga Sandy, Executive Director of the NIB, expressed his delight at the NCRA\u2019s responsiveness and commitment.
