Africa-Press – Sierra-Leone. <\/strong><\/span>Parliament has launched a formal investigation into the business dealings of Musa Koroma, popularly known as \u201cMusa Dollar.\u201d<\/p>\n

The motion, led by Hon. Bashiru Silikie, Deputy Leader of Government Business and SLPP MP for Bo District, will look into controversial operations, alleged unlawful fees, and government contracts linked to Koroma\u2019s companies.<\/p>\n

His firm, Logistics Solutions and Services, is accused of charging importers $1,000 for containers arriving in Freetown without a Cargo Tracking Note (CTN) certificate.<\/p>\n

The inquiry will also review claims that empty cargo vessels collecting iron ore and bauxite are charged $35,000 to $40,000 for cargo tracking, a practice criticized by local businesses.<\/p>\n

Lawmakers will further examine how Koroma secured a 2021 National Revenue Authority contract to supply 5,000 Electronic Cash Registers and software, as well as the disputed acquisition of a major lorry park in Bo City.<\/p>\n
