Africa-Press – Sierra-Leone. <\/strong><\/span>The Minister of Tourism and Cultural Affairs, Dr. Memunatu Pratt, has on Thursday 7th July, 2022. played host to the Minister of Tourism and Cultural Preservation of the Fourah Bah College Students Union Government (SUG), Hassan Hindolo Senesie and cross-section of the Adama Sillah led executive members and commended them for been the most progressive student body in recent times.<\/p>\n

<\/a>The Meeting was held at the Minister\u2019s Kingharman Road Office in Freetown.<\/p>\n

Presenting their case, the Tourism and Cultural Preservation Minister of FBC SUG, Hassan Hindolo Senesie admitted that they were pleased with the many strides the tourism ministry has embarked on which he said they are emulating on campus.<\/p>\n

He explained the work their ministry on campus was doing including the hosting of over 70 students from six countries and over twenty universities and the hiking exercise for students at Mount Sugarloaf which he said was very impactful.<\/p>\n

In her statements, Dr. Pratt welcomed the students to her office where she described as the home of hospitality saying that she has been very impressed with their SUG executive especially the Tourism and Cultural Preservation Ministry on FBC campus.<\/p>\n

She explained the many gains the Ministry has made under her stewardship including the just concluded Tourism Parliamentary Governance conference. She made specific reference to the completion of the National Integrated Curriculum for Tourism and Hospitality an initiative which she said shows her commitment to bringing tourism education to the door steps of higher education and universities.<\/p>\n

She proposed a tourism student club on campus which she said can be used to do other activities in tourism like raising awareness. She assured them of the Ministry\u2019s support to do a tour of old Fourah Bay College building and Bunce Island.<\/p>\n

The students ended up appreciating the Minister and promising to launch the tourism student club on campus and to also exhibit different cultures in Sierra Leone.<\/p>\n

The Chief Minister, Ishmeal Kamara and the Deputy Minister of Tourism and Cultural Preservation, Hafsatu Sallay Conteh of FBC\u2019s SUG were part of the deliberations.<\/p>\n
