Africa-Press – South-Africa. The South African Weather Service has issued a warning for damaging winds between Cape Columbine and Plettenberg Bay from Wednesday into Thursday.

A warning for heavy rain resulting in localised flooding was also issued for the City of Cape Town, western parts of the Cape Winelands and the Overberg District, as well as Swartland Municipality.

Additionally, extremely high fire danger conditions are expected over the Beaufort West Municipality in the Western Cape, the eastern interior of the Northern Cape, northern interior of the Free State and the western and southern parts of North West.

Very cold, wet and windy conditions are expected over the interior of the Western Cape and Namakwa district in the Northern Cape from Wednesday until Friday.

Gauteng

will be fine and cool but warm in the north. The expected UVB sunburn index is very high.

It will be fine and cool in Mpumalanga, but warm in the Lowveld.

Fine and warm conditions are expected in Limpopo.

North West

will be fine, windy and warm.

It will be fine, windy and cool in the Free State.

The Northern Cape can expect fine, windy and cool to warm conditions.

The western parts of the Northern Cape will be fine and cold to cool with evening fog patches along the coast. The wind along the coast will be light and variable.

The Western Cape can expect cloudy conditions in the south-west with scattered to widespread showers and rain, otherwise partly cloudy and cool to cold temperatures with isolated light showers, except in the north-east.

The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong north-westerly, becoming south-westerly in the south-west by the evening. The expected UVB sunburn index is low.

The western half of the Eastern Cape will be fine and cool, but warm in places over the interior. It will become cloudy with isolated showers and rain west of Storms River in the evening.

The wind along the coast will be light to moderate north-westerly, becoming south-westerly in the afternoon, but strong in the west in the evening, spreading east.

The eastern half of the Eastern Cape can expect fine and cool, but warm conditions in places over the interior. The wind along the coast will be light to moderate westerly, becoming southerly from late morning, but light north-westerly in the evening.

KwaZulu-Natal

will be fine and warm but cool in the south-west. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh north-easterly.

The expected UVB sunburn index is high.
