Africa-Press – South-Africa. The Sharks have signed a contract extension with Springbok front-ranker Ntuthuko Mchunu.

The Sharks announced on Monday that Mchunu has signed a new two-year deal that will see him remain in Durban until the end of the 2025 season.

The 24-year-old loosehead prop made his Test debut for the Springboks against Wales last year.

Mchunu, who stands 1.88m and weighs 114kg, is an athletic prop that makes his presence felt in general play. He played as a loose forward earlier for his school, Maritzburg College.

Meanwhile, the Sharks also announced that versatile back Marnus Potgieter, who can play centre or wing, has signed a three-year contract extension.

These contract extensions come after recent new deals with Bok flyhalf Curwin Bosch and loose forward Phepsi Buthelezi.
