Africa-Press – South-Africa. Wednesday will be cloudy and cool with isolated showers in some parts of the country, according to the South African Weather Service.

Impact-based warnings:

A Yellow Level 1 Warning: Waves resulting in difficulty in navigation at sea for small vessels are expected between Cape Columbine and Cape Agulhas from Wednesday evening. This is expected to spread to Plettenberg Bay and Alexander Bay on Thursday morning, subsiding from late afternoon.

Advisories:

An intense cut-off low pressure system is expected to affect the Western Cape and Namakwa District of the Northern Cape on Saturday and Sunday. The public and small stock farmers are advised that disruptive rain, damaging winds and waves, storm surge, disruptive snow and very cold conditions can be expected from 29 to 30 July.

Gauteng will be partly cloudy and cool.

The expected UVB sunburn index is high.

In Mpumalanga, expect morning fog over the Highveld and escarpment, otherwise partly cloudy and cold to cool, but warm over the Lowveld.

Limpopo will also have morning fog over the central parts, otherwise cloudy and cool to warm, becoming partly cloudy in the south by the afternoon.

The North West will be partly cloudy and cool to warm.

In the Free State, expect partly cloudy and cold to cool conditions with isolated to scattered showers in the south.

The Northern Cape will be partly cloudy and cold to cool, but cold in the south with isolated to scattered showers in the south and south-west.

The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong south-easterly, becoming light to moderate north-westerly by the evening.

The Western Cape will be cloudy to partly cloudy and cold to cool, with isolated showers and thundershowers over the northern interior.

The wind along the coast will be light to variable, becoming moderate to fresh north-westerly by the evening along the south-west coast, but south-westerly along the south coast.

The expected UVB sunburn index is low.

In the Eastern Cape, it will be fine and warm but cool along the coast and adjacent interior, becoming cloudy with isolated showers and thundershowers in places in the north. The wind along the coast will be light north-westerly, becoming light to moderate south-westerly from the afternoon.

In the eastern half of the province, expect fine and warm conditions with isolated showers and thundershowers, excluding the extreme eastern parts, but scattered in the north-west. The wind along the coast will be light and variable, becoming moderate south-westerly on Tuesday night.

KwaZulu-Natal will be partly cloudy in the north-east with fog over the northern interior, otherwise fine and warm. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh north- easterly.
