Africa-Press – South-Africa. The Gauteng Department of Education said that security measures have been improved to protect the integrity of the 2024 matric exams.
Gauteng Education MEC Matome Chiloane said that interventions have been strengthened to ensure exam papers are not leaked.
Chiloane addressed the media on Monday to outline preparations for this year’s exams.
Grade 12 pupils will sit down for their final exams from 21 October.
Chiloane said that this year’s matric class faced many challenges, but he’s confident the pupils are ready.
“Post Covid-19 they have really worked hard to get to this point, to push themselves to ensure that they work with the schools to catch up on the lost learning time. I’m confident that we have not left any stone unturned,” he said.
