Africa-Press – South-Africa. The uMkhonto weSizwe (MK) Party late on Friday afternoon handed over a list of demands to the president’s office, demanding the immediate dismissal of Police Minister Senzo Mchunu.
The party marched to the Union Buildings on Friday in support of KwaZulu-Natal Police Commissioner Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi.
This follows Mkhwanazi’s explosive allegations, accusing Mchunu of meddling with police investigations.
MK Party spokesperson, Nhlamulo Mdlela, claimed the president was turning a blind eye to Mkhwanazi’s allegations.
“They must fire Mchunu and Mkhwanazi must arrest all of those that are implicated. They are talking about a commission of inquiry but Mkhwanazi has stated there’s a judiciary and the judges who are part and parcel and complicit in these activities.”
