Africa-Press – South-Africa. Johannesburg Mayor Dada Morero says he’s unfazed by the latest motion of no confidence against him.
His position is once again under threat after minority parties within the ANC-led coalition submitted a bid for his removal.
The UDM, ATM, and Al Jama-ah accuse Morero of failing to improve service delivery in the city.
But Morero said that motions of no confidence had become an unfortunate norm in local politics.
“It doesn’t scare me. It’s part of politics. Others use it for grandstanding, others use it to settle a particular score. This time around, it’s regrettable because it’s raised by a coalition partner. We’ll allow them to raise their issues on the right platform.”
