MK Party Delivers Demands to President's Office

Africa-Press – South-Africa. The MK Party has arrived at the Union Buildings in Pretoria to deliver another memorandum of demands to the president’s office.

The party marched from Church Square in the inner city, also making a stop at the South African Police Service (SAPS) headquarters.

The march was held in support of KwaZulu-Natal Police Commissioner Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi, following his explosive claims of political interference in police investigations.

Hundreds of MK Party supporters are currently picketing outside the Union Buildings, awaiting the arrival of the party’s national leadership to officially hand over the memorandum.

MK Party Gauteng spokesperson, Abel Tau, said they’re calling on the president to take decisive action against those implicated in meddling with police operations.

“He has failed to be decisive in his leadership. He was supposed to fire Minister Senzo Mchunu. These are serious allegations that were not made by some lunatic on the street but by a career police officer, who is well-decorated. Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi has done his work. We believe he is not speaking from a place of ignorance; he knows what the implications are.”
