women were killed and 10 other people were injured in an accident involving a<\/p>\n

bus and car in Durban on Friday.<\/p>\n

ALS<\/p>\n

paramedics spokesperson Garrith Jamieson said they had arrived on the<\/p>\n

“horrific scene” shortly after 06:30.<\/p>\n

“It<\/p>\n

involved a bus, light motor vehicle and multiple pedestrians in the Alice and<\/p>\n

Russel Street areas. Paramedics arrived on scene to find total carnage after<\/p>\n

two vehicles collided and pedestrians were involved.”<\/p>\n

He<\/p>\n

said paramedics could not save the two women.<\/p>\n

He said:<\/p>\n

Jamieson<\/p>\n

added that the accident had caused a severe traffic backlog.<\/p>\n

“There<\/p>\n

is heavy traffic, and the scene is taking up three lanes in the CBD. We advise<\/p>\n

motorists to avoid the area at all costs.”<\/p>\n
