The rand traded steady overnight. Expected range today R14.80\/$ &#8211; R15.20\/$.<\/p>\n<p><b>South African bourse<\/b><\/p>\n<p>The JSE All Share (-0.17 percent) ended lower yesterday, dragged by losses in large gold (-3.88 percent) stocks. In the overall emerging market sphere, the MSCI Emerging Market Index (+1.01 percent) traded in the black buoyed by optimism over the incoming Biden administration.<\/p>\n<p><b>Brent crude oil<\/b><\/p>\n<p>The Brent oil price rose during yesterday\u2019s trading session fuelled by stimulus optimism, boosting fuel demand prospects, which countered concerns about renewed economic lockdowns. At the close of local trade, benchmark Brent crude futures quoted 1.07 percent higher at $55.48pb.
