Odendaal, who will be<\/p>\n

heading to Wasps, didn’t score a try-out of the seven the hosts ran past the<\/p>\n

questions of the defence throughout the game.<\/p>\n

The visitors also<\/p>\n

defend easier than expected.<\/p>\n

Odendaal lived in the<\/p>\n

moment, but knew they’d have to prepare for next week’s home challenge against<\/p>\n

Edinburgh. “It probably was my best game in a Lions jersey, but I won’t<\/p>\n

linger on it for too long,” Odendaal said.<\/p>\n

“There’s the<\/p>\n

saying that you’re only as good as your last game because there’s a new<\/p>\n

challenge next week.<\/p>\n

“I told the guys<\/p>\n

it’s nice to have the Saturday and the Sunday off, so we’ll enjoy the win and<\/p>\n

start again on Monday.”<\/p>\n

tries the Lions scored went to Wandisile Simelane, but Odendaal said the aim<\/p>\n

was to create space for Edwill van der Merwe and Sibahle ‘Rabz’ Maxwane.<\/p>\n

The wingers scored at<\/p>\n

opposite ends of the game, with the other tries going to Manuel Rass, a brace<\/p>\n

for Morne van den Berg and Francke Horn.<\/p>\n

Odendaal said they<\/p>\n

needed to create space for their outside backs to thrive, which is what they<\/p>\n

did on a cold, but a lung-busting night for the visitors.<\/p>\n

“I think he got a<\/p>\n

bit loose on the field because there was a lot of space, especially on the<\/p>\n

outside,” Odendaal said.<\/p>\n

“We actually<\/p>\n

challenged ourselves to create space on the outside for Rabz and Edwill with<\/p>\n

the fullback or just spread to them.<\/p>\n

“I think it<\/p>\n

worked for us, and we capitalised on their mistakes. I think the display was<\/p>\n

awesome, and it was clinical.”<\/p>\n
