Africa-Press – South-Africa. <\/strong><\/span>Two security guards who are responsible for guarding various clinics in the Gert Sibande District Municipality have been arrested for allegedly stealing and selling medication, according to the Mpumalanga Hawks.<\/p>\n

Khethiwe Moloi, 49, and Dumisani Aaron Mahlasela, 61, appeared in the Evander Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday and were each released on R3 000 bail.<\/p>\n

Moloi and Mahlasela were arrested on Tuesday after the Hawks received information that a security guard in the area was selling medication, spokesperson Captain Dineo Lucy Sekgotodi said.<\/p>\n

When Moloi’s house was searched, officials allegedly found various types of medication and surgical gloves.<\/p>\n

Sekgotodi added:<\/p>\n

The medication included contraceptives, flu medication and painkillers.<\/p>\n

The two guards have been charged with the contravention of the Medical Act.<\/p>\n

The case was postponed to 14 July for further investigation.<\/p>\n
