Africa-Press – South-Africa. <\/strong><\/span>The disciplinary hearing of Theuns du Toit, who urinated on a fellow Stellenbosch University student’s belongings, wrapped up on Thursday.<\/p>\n

Du Toit appeared before the university’s Central Disciplinary Committee (CDC) for allegedly violating the student code of conduct.<\/p>\n

He was caught on camera urinating on first-year agriculture student Babalo Ndwayana’s desk, laptop and books.<\/p>\n

On Thursday, the CDC sat for the second day of the hearing, at the university’s Admin B building.<\/p>\n

Ndwayana, the victim, was absent, after he walked out of proceedings on Wednesday, claiming bias by the committee chair.<\/p>\n

Despite the walkout, the CDC continued its work, wrapping up with arguments from Du Toit’s legal representatives.<\/p>\n

Eight witnesses are said to have appeared before the CDC.<\/p>\n

Stellenbosch University spokesperson Martin Viljoen confirmed the hearing concluded on Thursday.<\/p>\n

He said:<\/p>\n

“We understand that there are some complexities, and the CDC indicated they will be giving us a written judgment on their decision,” he said.<\/p>\n
