Africa-Press – South-Africa. <\/strong><\/span>Five women were raped, one man was shot, and six others were assaulted after armed men stormed two funeral parlours in Malipsdrift, Limpopo.<\/p>\n

The incidents happened on Sunday morning.<\/p>\n

Police spokesperson, Brigadier Motlafela Mojapelo, said the gunmen first kidnapped two women who were walking along the R37 road, while on their way to visit a friend working at Wisani Burial Society.<\/p>\n

Upon arrival at the funeral parlour, the gunmen shot and wounded one employee.<\/p>\n

They then proceeded to a second funeral parlour, where three women and six men were working.<\/p>\n

Mojapelo said:<\/p>\n

Some of the women were also assaulted, added Mojapelo.<\/p>\n

The victims were taken to hospital.<\/p>\n

Police are investigating charges of rape, kidnapping, attempted murder, and business robbery.<\/p>\n

Mojapelo urged anyone with information on the perpetrators to contact Lieutenant Colonel Lehlagane Mamadisa on 079 894 5482.<\/p>\n
