Africa-Press – South-Africa. <\/strong><\/span>A businessman from Silversands says he lost almost everything he worked his entire life for after a petrol bomb was thrown into his building.<\/p>\n

Isaac Bohambwa, who runs a barber shop, internet cafe\u0301, dressmaker and motorcycle mechanical shop next to Hindle Road, says he is devastated about what happened last week.<\/p>\n

\u201cSomeone saw two cars parked on the pavement across from my business at around 02:00 in the morning. The one car came from Delft\u2019s side and the other from Blue Down\u2019s side. A petrol bomb was thrown at the building and it started to burn,\u201d says Bohambwa.<\/p>\n

According to Bohambwa there were seven motorcycles at the business.<\/p>\n

\u201cSome of the motorcycles exploded and caused further damage. Everything burned to the ground and I do not know if I will be able to replace everything. The bikes belong to customers so they must also be replaced. I cannot think who wants to do this to me. I started my business in a container and through hard work and lots of sweat built it up to what it was.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have always been good to my community and my community is good towards me and my businesses. That is why I do not know who would want to do this to me. I do not know what the motive is,\u201d says Bohambwa. A younger brother of Bohambwa was seriously burned during the incident and is still in hospital.<\/p>\n

\u201cI went to the police, but I have heard nothing back. It is as if they believe it was an electrical mistake.\u201d<\/p>\n

Didas Wabohambwa, Bohambwa\u2019s son, who works for his father, says the family is very sad.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe need to start from scratch to get the business up and running again. We are most worried about my cousin who got burns on both arms and his back. We were lucky to get him out alive from the room that he was sleeping in. We pray that he will be okay,\u201d he says Didas.<\/p>\n

He further says that because of the damage they are not making ends meet.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe trust that God will be with the family. We ask that people pray for us,\u201d says Wabohambwa.<\/p>\n
