Africa-Press – South-Africa. <\/strong><\/span>Police confiscated cocaine with an estimated value of R25 000 in Goodwood earlier on Friday.<\/p>\n

Spokesperson for the City\u2019s metro police department, Ruth Solomons, says the Metro Police K9 Unit were conducting crime prevention patrols just after 13:00 when they saw a motorist commit a traffic violation.<\/p>\n

“Officers stopped the vehicle, noticed that the driver seemed nervous, and sought permission to conduct a search.<\/p>\n

“K9 Leia found 44 bankies of cocaine with an estimated street value of R25 000, wrapped in a secret sock under the dashboard.<\/p>\n

“A 34-year-old suspect was detained at Goodwood Police Station for possession of drugs,” Solomons says.<\/p>\n

Captain Wayne Theunis from Goodwood police says that this occurred in Le Sueur Street, Monte Vista.<\/p>\n

This is the third such arrest in the last eight days \u2013 K9 Troy also sniffed out drugs in vehicles in two separate incidents in Brackenfell in the past week.<\/p>\n
