Africa-Press – South-Africa. <\/strong><\/span>The sentencing proceedings of Babsy Ntamehlo – who was found guilty of murdering his estranged wife, Nosicelo Tsipa, because he wanted the house she was living in – were postponed to January instead of starting on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

Judge Daniel Thulare found Ntamehlo guilty of murdering Tsipa in a judgment in October which slammed the authorities for going no further than giving her another protection order when she said he was ignoring the first one.<\/p>\n

Ntamehlo strangled Tsipa, put her body in a wheelie bin, and then set her on fire. Then, he buried her in a shallow grave in Fisantekraal, Durbanville.<\/p>\n

Neighbours followed the wheelie bin tracks and found her.<\/p>\n

A lone policeman had to fend off a group of people so angry they wanted to murder Ntamehlo there and then. He was rescued and went on trial.<\/p>\n

Tsipa was murdered after a long period of abuse that got so bad that not only did she get two protection orders, but her brother also lived with her to keep her safe.<\/p>\n

He struck when her brother went to soccer practice.<\/p>\n

Ntamehlo pretended he had not seen Tsipa when her brother went looking for her when she disappeared.<\/p>\n

During the trial, some of the threatening messages sent to her were read out, and Thulare said there was no doubt Ntamehlo planned to murder her.<\/p>\n

Thulare was told the witnesses who were going to testify on Ntamehlo’s character and background were not available on Tuesday, so he postponed the proceedings.<\/p>\n
